




Nova-Con’s management team has developed and implemented many new and innovative programs including quality assurance, loss prevention and contract cost management. Our team of highly skilled and experienced personnel have successfully completed a number of projects on schedule and within budget. Management meets weekly with Project Managers to review status of all projects, manpower requirements, schedules and cost control.
Estimating - The estimator performs the task of preparing the estimate in an accurate and precise manner in accordance with the plans, specifications and addendum issued for the project. On design-build projects, the estimator is involved at the conceptual design phase through to the final stage of design and drawings.
Project Management - The project manager is responsible for setting up and coordinating design and construction activities in an efficient manner, in compliance with the company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include project scheduling, finalize subtrades and suppliers quotations, attend site meetings, coordinate trades, track job costs and manpower requirements on a regular basis, price out any proposed changes and submit for approvals, assist accounting in preparation of progress claims, project close out documentation, deficiency cleanup, commissioning and Owner training.
Our project managers constantly review new techniques, procedures and workmanship, report to management and implement solutions and improvements. Computers are used extensively in the management of each project and play an important role in the development of systems and procedures. Scheduling systems deliver conceptual and detailed analyses and manpower projections with on site activities.
Project Coordination - The project manager is also responsible for issuing purchase orders for all equipment and subtrades, shop drawing review and distribution, delivery schedules, track material delivery and expedite to ensure schedule is met and coordinate deliveries with Superintendent. The coordinator prepares the commissioning schedule and Owner training and coordinates with trades and suppliers, prepares the operation and maintenance manuals and submit with the as-built drawings.
Site Supervision - Our superintendents are highly skilled and experienced field personnel. To enable them to have project control, they have complete access to estimating, scheduling, safety, training, quality assurance and purchasing. Responsibilities include material take-offs, layouts and pre-planning, site condition evaluation, subtrade coordination and scheduling, site meetings, time sheet submittals, equipment delivery coordination, scope and specification compliance, identification of schedule or drawing discrepancies, assess manpower loading, customer relations and requirements, job site security and safety control.
All installations are performed by skilled and experienced tradesmen. Beyond the development of particular skills, we have developed a teamwork approach to construction, which can only be achieved through open communication and clear direction.
Accounting - Our computerized accounting and cost control systems are designed to meet the specific needs of each project and to provide straightforward and accurate reports on costs to date and costs to complete.
